Random ramblings for today...

Summer is always a fun and busy time. By the end I'm always ready for the fall, but I do love it while it lasts. This summer I have seen God's faithfulness in every old moment remembered and in every new memory made. How kind and gracious is our Heavenly Father toward us!

Saturday was a fun beach day that was spent with friends playing Blongo. It's a new game that was recently discovered and is so much fun! Thanks to Ryan, we had a set to play with and I have to say that our unusual game drew quite a crowd. I won't say anything about which team dominated the game with multiple wins, but everyone made a valiant effort in playing. =)

Funniest moment of the week: Finding out how much guys think girls getting their hair cut and highlighted costs. The discussion occurred over lunch on Sunday and was enlightening to both guys and girls I'm sure!

Carolyn McCulley has a new article out at Crosswalk.com about what is looks like for girls to "crack twigs and stir the leaves" appropriately. Some of our very own people are quoted in the article. Here's the link if you are interested in reading it: http://www.crosswalk.com/singles/11549260/page1/

"Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name." - Psalm 97:10-12
