As I drove to work this morning, tired from the weeks busy days and late hours, I was still refreshed as I considered all that the Lord has done for me. How gracious of God to allow me to come into His presence each day. The really exciting part about that is that we don't have to wait in line or take a number to be near Him, but we can approach His throne of grace anytime throughout the day and as many times as we want! We don't ever have to worry about Him turning us away or our interrupting Him. He desires us to come to Him and spend time at His feet. The Lord used the to words to the song below, to speak to my tired heart this morning and remember that in light of who He is and all He has done, He deserves my enthusiastic and passionate praise. How great is our God?!
~EVEN WHEN~
This week, I prayed, one time
My phone, it rang, I put You on the other line
And now my thoughts they drift around
My knees remain unacquainted with the ground
Unless my faith is put to the test and I am forced to bow
Although I'm in this flesh it doesn't mean
You shouldn't have the best from me, from me
Even when my eyes are dry
even when my soul is tired
even when my hands are heavy,
I will lift them up to You
It's not about how I feel, oh Lord
I exist for you
I close my eyes but all I see
Is a background of black, bouncy squiggly lines
And this week's mistakes coming back to mind but
I will lift my voice and make a joyful sound
Forget about me, I only get me down
Although I cannot see it doesn't mean
I shouldn't sing to You, to You
You've given me Your life and have held mine together yet I find
Excuses to slouch in my pew
But when glory divine
Is sitting in my very presence, the least that I can do
Is give my all to You, give my all to You
Even when my eyes are dry
even when my soul is tired
even when my hands are heavy,
I will lift them up to You
It's not about how I feel, oh Lord
I exist for you
even when my soul is tired
even when my hands are heavy,
I will lift them up to You
It's not about how I feel, oh Lord
I exist for you

Thanks for a great reminder of the Faithfulness of our Father. I love that verse: "Those who look to him are radiant" What a promise!
Thats a good song, I like the line "My knees remain unacquainted with the ground, Unless my faith is put to the test and I am forced to bow"
